Goal
The main goal of Y-SEF is to support the development of the private sector, communities, youth, women groups, the vulnerable and civil society while contributing to the process of sustaining development.
Y-SEF supports the development of local enterprise capacity especially young entrepreneurs and other marginalized groups such as women and communities, by facilitating access to microfinance, business development services as well as community investments, capacity building, networking and advocacy for sustained socio-economic empowerment

- To inculcate the entrepreneurial qualities and thinking including relevant opportunities that will transform potential unemployed job seekers to productive self-employed job creators and supporting existing entrepreneurs through comprehensive practice-oriented training and business development services.
- Provision of necessary backup support – such as financial and credit-linkage / intermediation schemes; technical and management support; mentors’ programs; and other relevant information, to the practicing and first-generation entrepreneurs and thus develop enterprise culture, generate new enterprises and jobs and in the process develop local communities.
- Financial linkage programmes in partnership with financial institutions which provide credit to productive poor, the vulnerable such as youth, women micro-small entrepreneurs and other marginalized groups in society.
- To link communities to social, economic, technological and financial information, resources and other development support in order to empower them
- To serve as a bridge to developmental resources to facilitate social and economic initiatives by and for communities, including economic, social and financial literacy programs / projects that will inform, educate and empower people in order to move out of poverty and in the process develop local communities.
